Sprinting is running over a short distance in a limited period of time. It is used in many sports that incorporate running, typically as a way of quickly reaching a target or goal, or avoiding or catching an opponent.

  1. Fakaalofa lahi atu, Alex! Well done for joining the winter learning journey. I look forward to reading what else you learn about the Olympics over the holidays. What sports do we do at school that involve sprinting?

  2. Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey Alex! I am so happy that you have joined the journey this holiday. It's wonderful!

I am also very happy to see that you've already posted three blogs. Like you, I would have chosen a running event if I was competing in the ancient Olympics but I think that I would have been better at the middle distance. I don't think that I would have been fast enough to be a sprinter! Are you a fast runner?

    Cheers, Rachel
