Speaches

Today we had to chose a topic on what we a going to write about for our speech. When we have chosen what we wanted to write about we have to write down as much as we know and learn it. When we have written our speech we have to practice it in front of the class.

When we had said our speech we have to be judged by someone else, they also had to time how long the speech was,  if it was 3 minutes and over it was fine. Also the person who was judging had to fill  a document that say volume, vocabulary, expression, hand jesters and others that needed to be in your speech. They will mark you and add up the points and the time your speech was.

Cherry Blossom

When we did our art, we had to paint the background blue, green and yellow for the sun and just a little bit blue for the sky  And I had to put the  leaves and it was pink and lots of colorful leaves and I will tell you the steps.

Step 1 You have to  colour the background any colour you want.
Step 2 you have to put watery black paint on the background and then blow it around with a straw so it will look like a tree.
Step 3  you have to wait for the paint to dry. Then you have to dab your finger in pink, purple or white paint to make the flowers and it will look like this.

Botanical Garden

On Thursday we went to the Auckland Botanical Gardens. Screenshot 2016-10-14 at 2.41.47 PM.png My favorite part was when I went to see the roses because there were lots of colors and lots of petals. My favorite flower was the daisy because it was the biggest one I have ever seen. Also it was a nice day there and we saw a waterfall and a lot of flowers. Also we were allowed to pick up a flower that was on the ground to have a close look at it. Also we took a lot of photos and then we walked for a long time. We went to the children’s part and had a 15 minute rest. Mrs Hoeberigs came with us too.  We had a lovely time there and I hope I’ll visit there again.

At the zoo

On Friday rooms 10, 9, 7 and 6 and some of room 5 we went to the zoo and we saw lots of animals. The best part was when I saw the tiger and the lion. I was in Mrs Buchanan’s group with Katrina, Prudence, Leilani and Bella. I had a lovely time when we had morning tea at the band rotunda. Then we visited the bird and it was screaming at us. The sad part was when we didn't see the crocodile but the trip was not bad. We had lunch at a shelter and the elephant did a poo in front of us. We had a look at the flamingo then went back to where we had to go back to the bus. I think that was the best day ever. When I was on the bus I tried to go to sleep but was too noisy. We made it back to school and then we went home.
