Cherry Blossom
When we did our art, we had to paint the background blue, green and yellow for the sun and just a little bit blue for the sky And I had to put the leaves and it was pink and lots of colorful leaves and I will tell you the steps.
Step 1 You have to colour the background any colour you want.
Step 2 you have to put watery black paint on the background and then blow it around with a straw so it will look like a tree.
Step 3 you have to wait for the paint to dry. Then you have to dab your finger in pink, purple or white paint to make the flowers and it will look like this.Friday, 28 October 2016

Botanical Garden
On Thursday we went to the Auckland Botanical Gardens. My favorite part was when I went to see the roses because there were lots of colors and lots of petals. My favorite flower was the daisy because it was the biggest one I have ever seen. Also it was a nice day there and we saw a waterfall and a lot of flowers. Also we were allowed to pick up a flower that was on the ground to have a close look at it. Also we took a lot of photos and then we walked for a long time. We went to the children’s part and had a 15 minute rest. Mrs Hoeberigs came with us too. We had a lovely time there and I hope I’ll visit there again.

At the zoo
On Friday rooms 10, 9, 7 and 6 and some of room 5 we went to the zoo and we saw lots of animals. The best part was when I saw the tiger and the lion. I was in Mrs Buchanan’s group with Katrina, Prudence, Leilani and Bella. I had a lovely time when we had morning tea at the band rotunda. Then we visited the bird and it was screaming at us. The sad part was when we didn't see the crocodile but the trip was not bad. We had lunch at a shelter and the elephant did a poo in front of us. We had a look at the flamingo then went back to where we had to go back to the bus. I think that was the best day ever. When I was on the bus I tried to go to sleep but was too noisy. We made it back to school and then we went home.

No girls allowed
During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games. I reckon that this is an unfair rule as women should've been able to compete even to watch because what's wrong with having ladies watching or competing. Women should have the same rights as men

Horse racing
Horse racing is an equestrian performance sport, involving two or more jockeys riding horses over a set distance for competition. It is one of the most ancient of all sports and its basic premise – to identify which of two or more horses is the fastest over a set course or distance – has remained unchanged since the earliest times

Mum at school!
Yesterday my mum came to talk to my teacher about my chromebook so I can take it home. She signed a paper so I can take it home on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mrs Grant and Yayleen came too. My favorite part was when I ate some biscuits and a fruit bar and I had a drink. Then when the bell went, we got to take another bar home and a chocolate fish. I took a photo with my mum on my chromebook. I had trouble with the internet at home but it was cool listening to music.

Solar Oven and Teamwork
Following the instructions, I made a solar oven with Shakaia, Katrina and Tyron. It was fun cutting the cardboard, folding the newspapers and covering the top with tin foil. It was a bit tricky cutting the square in the lid and taping the clingfilm to cover the hole in the lid.
