film festival
So next week Wednesday the whole school is getting on a bus to go to silver park to watch our films that we have created on the big screen at the theater. This is what we do every year because we are a manaiakalani school. We're not only going to watch our films but other manaiakalani schools. Then once we have finished watching the films we will be on our way back to school.

Tennis with Pete
Today was our first day of practice for tennis, so we went down to the courts to have practice with coach Pete. He teaches us how to play tennis, his first instruction was to practice some drills. Then we had to stand near a racket and practice hitting the ball towards our opponent, then when he says switch! we change to give the other person turn. After all that practice we start playing a game of tennis. It was coming towards the end of our session so once we finished we said good bye to coach Pet, and looking forward to seeing him next Tuesday.

Duffy Awards
On Monday we had two special Duffy role models. They came to talk to us about reading books. Once they introduced themselves they started talking about how they were interested in reading. One of the role models said his teacher told him that he should read books about sports because he loved playing it. That's how he got involved in big events. Then at the end specific people were called up to receive their Duffy books from the two Duffy role models. After that we sang the Duffy song.

Hip Hop Off
Today was the day we showcased our dance moves. Each group from different classes have been selected to show off their own dances or the dances that they have been taught from our instructor, Jess. The people who were chosen to dance had to practice hard to be better than before.
This afternoon in the multipurpose room the whole school watched all the dances. The best dance group I liked was Room Twelve because the dancers added different unique moves to the dance which they put together themselves. They looked amazing.
But the funniest one I liked was Room Six because they just made me laugh.

Making A Burger
Today is the last day for cooking. We made an egg burger,we first had to gather the ingredients in order to make the burger.
Then we heated the four buns to a 180 degrees. Once that was in the oven we had to fry the eggs when the eggs were done. We put them aside and grab the ingredients to put in the burger like lettuce, onion, tomatoes, cheese, mayo then once all of them has been combined we take a photo of it then it's done. Mrs Tuipulotu said it is a simple recipe that you could try to make a home.

We had to get six pieces of bread and cut the crust and dip all of the bread in eggs, ham and cheese. Then we put them into the pan with melted butter then waited for the bread to turn into a golden brown colour.
When the bread was done we put them on the plate and took a photo.

What We Made At Technicraft
It was our second day back for cooking at Tamaki College. We had to make a sponge cake roll and also had to follow the teacher's instruction that she wrote on the board so we can create it. We also had a partner each to assist us make it. Once we've made our sponge cake we had to put toppings on it then roll it up and detach it into segments. But I didn't roll my one.

Speaches
Today we had to chose a topic on what we a going to write about for our speech. When we have chosen what we wanted to write about we have to write down as much as we know and learn it. When we have written our speech we have to practice it in front of the class.
When we had said our speech we have to be judged by someone else, they also had to time how long the speech was, if it was 3 minutes and over it was fine. Also the person who was judging had to fill a document that say volume, vocabulary, expression, hand jesters and others that needed to be in your speech. They will mark you and add up the points and the time your speech was.

daily fitness
Today we are practicing for our athletics. For our fitness we are currently doing relays, we often do it every year. We had to get into our normal groups so that Mr Reid could give us a number. Later on we arrive to our cone.
Once our groups were sorted one person from each group had to line up in a row so that, when the person arrives to their teammates they pass the baton on and keep running.
When it came to the forth cone they had to sprint to the end so that their team can finish. It was time for group two to do the same. When they finished everyone headed back to class.

Making takeaway boxes
On Wednesday we had to make a takeaway box. Firstly we had to think of a design so that we can start drawing. After that I had to write about what I'm going to sell in my restaurant, so I said" I was going to sell sushi, fries, drink and a burger."
Also I had to write the pricing in my restaurant, so I had to draw types of foods on my piece of paper. Once my drawing was finished I had to put a bar code on it, cut out the out line and transform it into a takeaway box. When it was finished everyone had to hand it over to Mr Pinda, he will take a photo of our artwork and keep it so that he can grade our work.

cross country for fitness
On Monday morning we did our warm up, before we had to run around the streets two times. Most of us were jogging, walking or even sprinting, we were all tired and hot. As we were jogging I could see people sweating. But sadly we weren't finished. When I was on the last lap I dashed to the end as fast as possible. Later on we had to sit on the ground to wait for the other's to arrive.

Graphics
On Wednesday we had to change class and we moved to graphics. The teacher said we had to draw our name. It had to be 6 cm wide and 6 cm long, we could draw it in different kinds of ways. When the drawings are finished we were told to draw our last name and colour the letters in but today we our real teacher wasn't here so we had a reliever called Mrs Stage. He told us how to do letters in different ways by the end of the session we didn't get to finished our work but maybe next week we might be able to finish it.

Making Nacho's
When I went cooking at Tamika Collage I made Nacho's. Before getting ready I had to get the equipment out of the cupboard and put it on the table before Mrs Tuipulotu gave us the ingredients to start cooking. When she gave us the 2 pieces of garlic cloves. When I put the garlic cloves inside the tea towel to mash it altogether and once the garlic was into little pieces I put them in the pan then I pored in oil. After pouring the oil in I fried it until it turned brown. Once it was ready I let it to cool down. Then when Mrs Tuipulotu put all the ingredient in one bowl I take one and poured it in the pan with the garlic and some mince. I had to stir it around till it's cooked. I grabbed a plate of chips from the table then I pour the ingredients that I just made onto the plate of chips. Then once it was finished we had to show Mrs Tuipulotu and she would put more cheese on top of the Nacho''s and then we ate it.
